# Lembic

> Lembic is a small macOS app that exports any iMessage conversation into a clean, AI-ready text file you can hand to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI. It runs entirely on your Mac with no servers and no account, the export engine is open source, and it is a one-time purchase with no subscription.

Lembic reads the Messages history already synced to your Mac and turns a thread into a compact, token-efficient transcript built for AI rather than a PDF. Reactions, replies, dates, photos, and links are handled cleanly: kept when they carry meaning, compacted when they don't. You bring your own AI account, so the transcript goes straight from your Mac to the AI you choose, never to a Lembic server. Lembic is launching soon, with a waitlist for early access and launch pricing.
