Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Lembic is built around a simple idea: your messages are yours, and they should never leave your Mac. This policy explains the (very small amount of) data we handle.
The app
The Lembic app collects nothing. It runs entirely on your Mac, with no account and no backend server. When you export a conversation, the transcript is created locally and stays on your device until you choose to copy or save it. We never see your messages, your contacts, or your exports. There is no server for them to be sent to.
When you take an export to an AI service like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, you do so through your own account with that provider. At that point, that provider’s privacy policy governs whatever you paste or upload. We are not involved in, and have no visibility into, that step.
The export engine is open source, so you can verify these claims rather than take our word for them.
This website
The website (textstoai.com) handles two small things:
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can notify you at launch and share early-access details. We use Resend to store this list and send those emails. We don’t sell or share your email, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic (for example, how many people visited a page). This does not track you across sites or build a profile of you.
We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell any data.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the waitlist anytime via the link in our emails, or by emailing us.
- Request deletion of your waitlist email by contacting us.
